Week 13

We sketched the preliminary design and picked out two measurements to be included in the “smart drain design”. We researched online and identified a contactless pH measurement and contactless liquid level measurement. We plan to show the Pugh chart to Dr. Klaesner Friday morning.

Week 12

This week, the group members met with Dr. Hammill, shared the current design plan with him and sought for feedback. The group has determined to narrow down to the measurement of volume and pH for incorporation into the “smart drain” design. The group has also determined not to pursue the design of in vivo sensor for technicality difficulty, high cost and sterilization requirement. The team plan to meet again on Sunday to start design sketch.

Week 11

This week we met as a group, updated one another on individual research since last meeting on Friday and started the discussion on design drawings.
